Smucker's Recalls Limited Varieties Of Gravy Train, Kibbles 'N Bits, Skippy Wet Dog Food And Ol Roy Canned And Wet Dog Foods

The J.M. Smucker Company is initiating a voluntary withdrawal of a limited quantity of Gravy Train, Kibbles ‘N Bits, and Skippy Wet Dog Food and Ol Roy products after learning specific SKUs did not meet our specifications because a minor ingredient may contain low levels of pentobarbital.

Smucker's states that this recalls is "after learning specific SKUs did not meet our specifications because a minor ingredient may contain low levels of pentobarbital. This is not a threat to pet safety. Although the extremely low levels do not present a health or safety risk, their presence in our products is not acceptable to us."

WOW! Low levels...not a threat. Now they are trying to make it like this is OK. Ok for who? The poor dogs that eat the food? Why are you taking a chance with your pets?

They continue to be repeat offenders and know that a large chunk of people never hear about recalls. The brands are removed from store shelves, replaced with new and the public goes on purchasing.
