July 17, 2019 - The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced it's investigation into an outbreak of Salmonella infections due to contaminated pig ears dog treats expanding to 27 states. There are now 93 reported cases. July 3, the FDA was investigating this and Pet Supplies Plus initiated the recall of the pig ears.
